May 2018 Omni La Costa Retreat Recap from Director, Bryce Cunningham

We had an amazing group of ladies make the journey out to sunny San Diego, and we experienced near perfect conditions with the weather between 60 and 85 for the whole duration of the retreat. As always, the ladies worked hard in the morning on different strokes, followed by doubles strategy drills/exercises and point play. After three days of team completetion, the score ended extremely close with only a handful of sets separating the two teams, but in the end, it was the Hot Hot Swingers, Captained by Travis Roberts, who came out on top. 1.What did you miss most about CDT while you were away? I missed being with a company that cares so much about tennis as a whole, not just the business side of it. Like minded directors, pros and corporate staff that want to see this sport do well. Where are you from? Currently live in Lake Forest, Illinois a northern Suburb of Chicago, IL. I was born and raised in a very small town of about 700 people outside of Evansville, IN. What is your favorite shot and why? I love my backhand volley. I tend not to turn my shoulders enough so it angles off the court for lots of unintentional winners.
