The Baha Mar Cup Pro-Am Experience

As we head into fall and the upcoming holiday season, one of our absolutely favorite events is getting ready to take center stage: The 2023 Baha Mar Cup. Today, we're going to take a close look at the Pro-Am player experience at this once in a lifetime event. As much of the nation braces for colder temperatures that normally follow, we head to the Caribbean. Baha Mar, located in Nassua, Bahamas, is one of the most incredible resort complex's in the world. Featuring three fantastic resort options (Grand Hyatt, SLS, and Rosewood), dozens of world class restaurants, and an abundance of luxury amenities, Baha Mar has cemented themselves as an ideal winter getaway. And for tennis enthusiasts, the Baha Mar Cup provides unprecedented access and opportunity to spend time with tennis's top stars on and off the court. Set for December 8-10, 2023, the Baha Mar Cup kicks off on Friday with check in, a chance to get on court, and a VIP Welcome Reception. After guests arrive at the Lyndon Pindling International Airport in Nassau, private transportation is waiting to take you to the resort in style. It's not often you start getting the resort hospitality experience while you're still in the airport, but at Baha Mar, the've got every detail covered.

After checking into their room, pro-am players head to the hospitality suite at the Rosewood, where they pick up their tickets, all access passes, and VIP gift bag. The rest of the afternoon is open for exploration, but if you're looking to hit the courts early, players can join the CDT team of pros for open play. Friday night is when the real festivities begin, as pro-am players and their guests head the Rosewood Lawn for a VIP Welcome Reception. Here is where you'll meet Andy Roddick, Jessica Pegula, Victoria Azarenka, James Blake and many other of top stars from the tennis industry. Host Mark Knowles welcomes all to this special charity weekend and sets the stage for the events of the week. Guests enjoy a couple of excellent drinks themed for the event, as well as some ping-pong and live music. Saturday is when you get to test yourself in the Pro-Am. After a warm up clnic each amateur player gets 3-4 matches with and against the pros, a truly once in a lifetime experience. The top two amateurs based on the scores of their matches get a spot in the final. A 10 point tiebreak decides the champion, before the whole group breaks for a fantastic catered lunch by the courts. After 2 and a half hours of play, now it's time to kick your feet up and enjoy the pro exhibition from the VIP Lounge. Saturday finishes with a group dinner hosted by Marcus Samuelsson and the Baha Mar Foundation at Marcus Up Top, one of the best restaurants on property. You'll mingle with the stars and enjoy an incredible food and entertainment experience. There are very few opportunities in tennis to spend time with some of the biggest and best names in tennis, and the Baha Mar Cup offers that and so much more.
