Reservation Details

What is the cancellation policy for custom trip? 

  • Cancellations outside 14 days receive a 100% refund.
  • Cancellations inside of 14 days you will receive a 50% refund of the total monies paid.
  • If canceling while staying double occupancy, your roommate will result in a price increase to stay single occupancy, or your refund amount will be withheld to cover your roommate’s price difference.

What are the payment details?

  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through CDT, you are prepaid in full for your trip, except for incidentals. When you check-in at the front desk, you will be required to put a card on file for incidentals. The resort will put a hold amount on your card which will drop off upon check-out minus any incidental charges. 
  • If you have any questions regarding your incidental charges, please contact the front desk at check-out. If you still have questions upon leaving the resort, reach out to your travel specialist with CDT.  

What is the number for travel specialist?

  • If you have any questions regarding a custom tennis vacation booked through Cliff Drysdale, please call your travel specialist at 866-397-4040. 

What is the address to the main hotel?

  • 8301 Hollister Avenue, Santa Barbara, CA 93117
  • Check-in is at 4pm.
  • Check-out is at 11am.
  • Early and late check-outs can be requested, but they are not guaranteed. 

Can I add my Ritz-Carlton Select number to this reservation?

  • Unfortunately, when booking through Cliff Drysdale Tennis, we are unable to add your Marriott number to your reservation due to the already discounted rate when bundling your tennis and accommodations. 
Can I request a roll away bed? 
  • There is a $50 charge for a roll away bed.
Can I get connecting rooms?
  • You can request for a King room to connect to a 2 Queen Beds room, but this is not guaranteed. We need to confirm the request with reservations in advance.
Does my room have a fridge, and coffee?
  • Your room will have a mini-fridge and coffee maker. 
Does The Ritz-Carlton Santa Barbara Resort allow pets? 
  • The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara allows one dog up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $250 per stay, and two dogs up to 50 lbs for $325 per stay. This would be billed to the guest upon check-in as an incidental. 
Can I ship a package to The Ritz? 
  • Yes, you are able to ship packages to The Ritz-Carlton for your arrival. CDT cannot assist or guarantee any packages are not lost in transit once signed in the mail room. If your name is not the primary name on the room reservation, the hotel will reject the package. For more information, please contact The Ritz-Carlton concierge.

How does the transportation to and from the airport work? 
  • The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara is located 6.5 miles from The Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) and 110 miles from the Los Angeles Airport (LAX). All major rental car agencies are located at SBA and LAX. If you are doing to rent a car, please try Enterprise or National for a Cliff Drysdale Tennis discount ( For assistance with private transportation arrangements or for general transportation inquiries, please call the concierge at 805-968-0100. 
How can I get around the resort property? 
  • The property is all walk able. If walking assistance is needed, please let the front desk know, and they will provide assistance via golf carts.  
Does the resort offer valet or self-parking?
  • Valet parking only is available for $65 per night.
What is the number for the tennis pro shop? 
  • If you need to reach out directly to the tennis pro shop with any questions, please call 805-571-3141. 
Where are the courts located? 
  • The tennis courts are a short walk from the hotel. Parking is available by the tennis courts located at the public beach access. You will pass the courts on your left as you drive to the hotel lobby. When walking to the courts, go past the pool and Bistro to a sand path to the courts.   
How can I request lesson times or game matching services?
  • When registering, please outline your preferred times for lessons each day. We do our best to accommodate them based on availability with our staff for each day throughout your trip. We cannot guarantee your preferred time, but we will get as close as possible. 
  • Our coaches are happy to help game arrange with other resort guests and locals during your trip. We cannot guarantee any specific match ups until you have arrived. We always recommend talking to guests in the morning clinics, as they are typically looking for more play as well.  
Can I add on court reservations for additional play on my own? 
  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through CDT, you are able to reserve courts for additional play on your own at no additional cost. We can accommodate up to 2 hours/group/day. Requests can be made prior to arriving and are based on availability at the time of inquiring.  
  • If booking your accommodations separately, you are unable to reserve courts to play on your own. 
After booking, can I add on additional clinics and lessons? 
  • Yes. Even after booking, please reach out to your tennis travel concierge from your original quote, and they are happy to look at adding on additional clinics or lessons at the a la carte rate. Adding on clinics and lessons are based on availability. 
Is there a dress code at Racquet Park?  
  • Tennis shoes are required on the courts, but clothes of any color are allowed.  
Are rackets available to demo?
  • Yes, our tennis pro shop offers a variety of Head tennis rackets for demo, and they are full service with stringing. 
How many courts are there?
  • The Signature Cliff Drysdale-designed racquet facility offers 4 clay courts that are lit for evening play.
Is there a locker room at the tennis courts?
  • The tennis pro shop has restrooms, but there are no showers available. 
Do you want to add on golf to your stay?  
  • The resort does not have a golf course on site, but an 18-hold championship course, Sandpiper Golf Club, is located next door to the resort. Please contact the resort for additional information.

What is the average weather in Santa Barbara?
What if it rains or we experience inclement weather throughout our trip? 
  • It's warm, sunny and extremely pleasant for the majority of the year in the Santa Barbara. However, at times we do experience rain and other inclement weather. During these occasions we will do everything we can to play tennis. This includes adjusting the times and days of the classes to fit them all in during your stay. If we are unable to offer you the opportunity to complete your camp during your stay due to the weather, we will offer you a tennis credit for the value of the missed program to be used during another visit to a Cliff Drysdale Tennis facility in the future.
