Sips and Serves: Best Post-Tennis Drinks

With programs like Doubles and Bubbles and Sip and Serve, and Signature Events like Tennis & Wine Weekends, complementing on-court instruction with mingling over post-tennis drinks has become something of a CDT specialty! But as you can imagine, some drinks fare better court-side than others. So, we consulted with a few of our Senior Directors for their seasoned recommendations on the sips that pair best with our great, social game.

Robert Wright, Omni Amelia Island: Post-Camp Corona

There is nothing like a crisp Corona after a successful camp day! There is a reason we keep these stocked at almost all of our signature events.

Rob Lowe, Tyler Athletic & Swim Club: Frozen Margarita With an Extra Floater

Any post-tennis frozen margarita will do (especially in the summertime), but a floater is next level - just like the tennis!

Tim Bustle, Florida Region: Off Color Brewing Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale

I'm a Chicago native, so it's hard to beat some of my favorite local brews! My top pick would have to be Apex Predator from Off Color Brewing; perfect for enjoying after a session on the courts or while watching the pros on TV with friends.

Max Mangones, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami: Ice-Cold Heineken

After a day of tennis in the South Florida humidity, or a week at one of our 5-day Ladies Retreats, nothing sounds better than a cold Heineken!

Stewart Crerar, Central and Northeast Region: Smooth Old Fashioned

Tip Top Cocktails makes a great (and surprisingly strong) canned Old Fashioned, but I love joining friends and campers for a round of Old Fashioned after a successful day on the courts!

Jon Schaff, Georgia Region: Cold Beer, Preferably a Stella Artois

Any cold beer will hit the spot after tennis, but a Stella is my top pick! Plus, it's a crowd favorite so it's perfect for enjoying with clients or friends off the court.

Albert Fernandez, Weston Racquet Club: Bourbon and Coke

A classic combination that's easy to mix courtside is my go-to! Though it's not a super light drink, it's fun to savor with friends and clients post-tennis. (And if you visit Chateau Elan, Louis House of Bourbon on-property is a must-try!)
