RESERVATION DETAILS 

What is the cancellation policy for custom trip? 

  • Cancellations outside 14 days receive a 100% refund. 
  • Cancellations inside of 14 days you will receive a 50% refund of the total monies paid. 
  • Postponements inside 14 days and at least 4 days ahead of arrival date will receive a 100% credit for future use, valid for 365 days. 
  • Postponements inside 4 days will receive a 50% credit for future use, valid for 365 days 
 

What are the payment details?

  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through Experience Travel, you are prepaid in full for your trip, except for incidentals. When you check-in at the front desk, you will be required to put a card on file for incidentals. The resort will put a hold amount on your card which will drop off upon check-out minus any incidental charges. 
  • If you have any questions regarding your incidental charges, please contact the front desk at check-out. If you still have questions upon leaving the resort, reach out to your Experience travel specialist.  
 

What is the number for travel specialist?

  • If you have any questions regarding a custom tennis vacation booked through Experience Travel, please call your travel specialist at 866-397-4040.

CHECK-IN AND ACCOMMODATION DETAILS 

What is the address to the main hotel?

  • 1 Old Ranch Road, Carmel, CA 93923
  • Check-in is at 4pm.
  • Check-out is at 12pm.
  • Early and late check-outs can be requested, but they are not guaranteed.

Can I add my World of Hyatt Select number to this reservation?

  • Unfortunately, when booking through Cliff Drysdale Tennis, we are unable to add your member number to your reservation due to the already discounted rate when bundling your tennis and accommodations. 
 
Can I request a roll away bed? 
  • Yes, rollaway available upon request. A charge of $55 for each additional person 16 and older will be added to the room rate.

Does my room have a fridge, coffee, and iron? 
  • All suites, unless noted otherwise, have a Nespresso coffee maker and tea kettle, mini-fridges, iron and ironing board.

Does the Resort allow pets? 
  • Yes, the resort is very pet friendly. A non-refundable one-time fee of $175 per pet will be charged to your suite. Pet owners are required to sign a “Pet Agreement” upon check-in. Pets are restricted from the following area of The Ranch: The Lodge Pool and Cabanas, Spa Aiyana, Valley Kitchen main dining area, the Organic Garden, the Clubhouse, and River Ranch. Can I ship a package to The Ranch? 
  • Yes, the you are able to ship packages to The Ritz-Carlton for your arrival. CDT cannot assist or guarantee any packages are not lost in transit once signed in the mail room. If your name is not the primary name on the room reservation, the hotel will reject the package. For more information, please contact The Ritz-Carlton concierge.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION 
How does the transportation to and from the airport work? 
  • The nearest airport to Carmel Valley Ranch is Monterey Airport (MRY) which is 20-30 min away. 
  • Another nearby airport is San Jose (SJC) which is 1.5-hours away. 
  • The resort does not offer transportation to and from the airport. 
  • We recommend getting a ride-share or renting a car.

How can I get around the resort property? 
  •  The resort property is all walk-able but does reside on rolling hills. If walking assistance is required, the resort can accommodate.   
  • The resort offers a shuttle service that will pick you up and drop you off anywhere in the ranch. You can request the shuttle by dialing the front desk or notifying a resort employee.

Does the resort offer valet or self parking?
  • Self parking and valet parking are available on site, along with charging stations. There is also parking at the tennis center.

What is the number for the tennis pro shop? 
  • If you need to reach out directly to the tennis pro shop with any questions, please call 831-626-2554.

Where are the courts located? 
How can I request lesson times or game matching services?
  • When registering, please outline your preferred times for lessons each day. We do our best to accommodate them based on availability with our staff for each day throughout your trip. We cannot guarantee your preferred time, but we will get as close as possible. 
  • Our coaches are happy to help game arrange with other resort guests and locals during your trip. We cannot guarantee any specific match ups until you have arrived. We always recommend talking to guests in the morning clinics, as they are typically looking for more play as well.  
 
Can I add on court reservations for additional play on my own? 
  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through CDT, you are able to reserve courts for additional play on your own at no additional cost. We can accommodate up to 2 hours/group/day. Requests can be made prior to arriving and are based on availability at the time of inquiring.  
  • If booking your accommodations separately, you are unable to reserve courts to play on your own. 
 
After booking, can I add on additional clinics and lessons? 
  • Yes. Even after booking, please reach out to your tennis travel concierge from your original quote, and they are happy to look at adding on additional clinics or lessons at the a la carte rate. Adding on clinics and lessons are based on availability. 
 
Is there a dress code at Racquet Park?  
  • Tennis shoes are required on the courts, but clothes of any color are allowed.  
 
Are rackets available to demo?
  • Yes, our tennis pro shop offers a variety of Wilson tennis rackets and pickleball paddles for demo. They are full service with stringing. 
​
How many courts are there?
  • There are 7 hard courts and 4 pickleball courts.​
​
Is there a locker room at the tennis courts?
  • Yes, there is a full-sized locker room, shower, and sauna at the tennis center.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE ON THE RESORT 
Do you want to add on golf to your stay?  
  • This can be added to your trip directly with the golf pro shop. View The Carmel Valley Ranch Golf Webpage here. You can book your tee time here. The number to the Golf Pro Shop is: 831-620-6406.

Does the resort offer childcare? 
  • Yes, they offer kids camp which is a blend of activities of arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, walks to the Organic Garden, and more. What if it rains or we experience inclement weather throughout our trip? 
  • If rain or weather affects any of the scheduled tennis, the Director of Tennis will do their best to reschedule while you are there. If they are unable to do so, we will issue a refund for any missed tennis.
