What are the payment details?

  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through Experience Travel, you are prepaid in full for your trip, except for incidentals. When you check-in at the front desk, you will be required to put a card on file for incidentals. The resort will put a hold amount on your card which will drop off upon check-out minus any incidental charges.

  • If you have any questions regarding your incidental charges, please contact the front desk at check-out. If you still have questions upon leaving the resort, reach out to your Racquet Travel Advisor with Experience Travel.

What is the number for a Racquets Travel Advisor?

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

How does the transportation to and from the airport work?

  • The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara is located 6.5 miles from The Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) and 110 miles from the Los Angeles Airport (LAX). All major rental car agencies are located at SBA and LAX. If you are doing to rent a car, please try Enterprise or National for an Experience Travel discount (https://legacy.enterprise.com/car_rental/deeplinkmap.do?bid=028&refId=CLIFFDRY). For assistance with private transportation arrangements or for general transportation inquiries, please call the concierge at 805-968-0100.

How can I get around the resort property?

  • The property is all walk able. If walking assistance is needed, please let the front desk know, and they will provide assistance via golf carts.

Does the resort offer valet or self-parking?

  • Self-parking is not available. Valet parking is $65/night.

What is the number for the tennis pro shop?

  • If you need to reach out directly to the tennis pro shop with any questions, please call 805-571-3141. However, your Racquets Travel Advisor can coordinate any schedule changes for you.

Where are the courts located?

  • The tennis courts are a short walk from the hotel. Parking is available by the tennis courts located at the public beach access. You will pass the courts on your left as you drive to the hotel lobby. When walking to the courts, go past the pool and Bistro to a sand path to the courts.

How can I request lesson times or game matching services?

  • When registering, please outline your preferred times for lessons each day. We do our best to accommodate them based on availability with our staff for each day throughout your trip. We cannot guarantee your preferred time, but we will get as close as possible.

  • Our coaches are happy to help game arrange with other resort guests and locals during your trip. We cannot guarantee any specific match ups until you have arrived. We always recommend talking to guests in the morning clinics, as they are typically looking for more play as well.

Can I add on court reservations for additional play on my own?

  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through Experience Travel, you are able to reserve courts for additional play on your own at no additional cost. We can accommodate up to 2 hours/group/day. Requests can be made prior to arriving and are based on availability at the time of inquiring.

  • If booking your accommodations separately, you are unable to reserve courts to play on your own.

After booking, can I add on additional clinics and lessons?

  • Yes. Even after booking, please reach out to your tennis travel concierge from your original quote, and they are happy to look at adding on additional clinics or lessons at the a la carte rate. Adding on clinics and lessons are based on availability.

Is there a dress code on court?

  • Tennis shoes are required on the courts, but clothes of any color are allowed.

Are racquets available to demo?

  • Yes, our tennis pro shop offers a variety of Head tennis rackets for demo, and they are full service with stringing.

How many courts are there?

  • The Signature Cliff Drysdale-designed racquet facility offers 4 clay courts that are lit for evening play.

Is there a locker room at the tennis courts?

  • The tennis pro shop has restrooms, but there are no showers available.

Do you want to add on golf to your stay?

  • The resort does not have a golf course on site, but an 18-hold championship course, Sandpiper Golf Club, is located next door to the resort. Please contact the resort for additional information.

  • Indulge in outdoor relaxation at one of our open heated pools including the Main Pool and Oval Pool. What is the average weather in Santa Barbara?
What if it rains or we experience inclement weather throughout our trip?

  • It's warm, sunny and extremely pleasant for the majority of the year in the Santa Barbara. However, at times we do experience rain and other inclement weather. During these occasions we will do everything we can to play tennis. This includes adjusting the times and days of the classes to fit them all in during your stay. If we are unable to offer you the opportunity to complete any on-court time you will be refunded for that missed tennis.
