RESERVATION DETAILS 

What is the cancellation policy for custom trip? 

  • Cancellations outside 14 days receive a 100% refund. 
  • Cancellations inside of 14 days you will receive a 50% refund of the total monies paid. 
  • Postponements inside 14 days and at least 4 days ahead of arrival date will receive a 100% credit for future use, valid for 365 days. 
  • Postponements inside 4 days will receive a 50% credit for future use, valid for 365 days.
 

What are the payment details?

  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through PBI, you are prepaid in full for your trip, except for incidentals. When you check-in at the front desk, you will be required to put a card on file for incidentals. The resort will put a hold amount on your card which will drop off upon check-out minus any incidental charges. 
  • If you have any questions regarding your incidental charges, please contact the front desk at check-out. If you still have questions upon leaving the resort, reach out to your travel specialist with Experience.

Can I add my Marriott Bonvoy Select number to this reservation?

  • Unfortunately, when booking through PBI, we are unable to add your member number to your reservation due to the already discounted rate when bundling your tennis and accommodations. 
 
Can I request a roll away bed? 
  • There is a $25 charge for a roll away bed, and they are only permitted in King size rooms.

Does my room have a fridge, coffee, washer or dryer? 
  • Each room in the hotel has a mini fridge, coffee/tea maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board,

Does JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa allow pets? 
  • Unfortunately the resort does not allow pets.

Can I ship a package? 
  • Yes, you are able to ship packages to the resort for your arrival, however there may be a charge fee. PBI cannot assist or guarantee any packages are not lost in transit once signed in the mail room. If your name is not the primary name on the room reservation, the resort will reject the package. For more information, please contact the concierge.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION 
How does the transportation to and from the airport work? 
  • Transportation The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa  is located 119 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), 12 miles from the Palm Springs Airport (PSP) and 82 miles from Ontario Airport. The resort does not offer direct transportation to and from the airport, however all major rental car agencies are located at LAX and PSP. If you are going to rent a car, please try Enterprise or National for an Experience discount (https://legacy.enterprise.com/car_rental/deeplinkmap.do?bid=028&refId=CLIFFDRY).  
 
How can I get around the resort property? 
  • The resort offers bike rentals, but it is also very easy to get around the resort by foot.

Does the resort offer valet or self parking?
  • There is complimentary on-site parking for overnight self-park included in resort fees. Valet parking is $40 daily. The resort has electric car charging station.

TENNIS DETAILS 
What is the number for the tennis pro shop? 
  • If you need to reach out directly to the tennis pro shop with any questions, please call 760-341-1894.
 
Where are the courts located? 
  • The tennis courts are located to the left side of the main hotel as you arrive on the property.

How can I request lesson times or game matching services?
  • When registering, please outline your preferred times for lessons each day. We do our best to accommodate them based on availability with our staff for each day throughout your trip. We cannot guarantee your preferred time, but we will get as close as possible. 
  • Our coaches are happy to help game arrange with other resort guests and locals during your trip. We cannot guarantee any specific match ups until you have arrived. We always recommend talking to guests in the morning clinics, as they are typically looking for more play as well.  
 
Can I add on court reservations for additional play on my own? 
  • When booking your tennis and accommodations through PBI, you are able to reserve courts for additional play on your own at no additional cost. We can accommodate up to 2 hours/group/day. Requests can be made prior to arriving and are based on availability at the time of inquiring.  
  • If booking your accommodations separately, you are unable to reserve courts to play on your own
 
After booking, can I add on additional clinics and lessons? 
  • Yes. Even after booking, please reach out to your tennis travel concierge from your original quote, and they are happy to look at adding on additional clinics or lessons at the a la carte rate. Adding on clinics and lessons are based on availability. 
 
Is there a dress code at the courts?  
  • Tennis shoes are required on the courts, but clothes of any color are allowed.  
 
Are rackets available to demo?
  • Yes, our tennis pro shop offers a variety of Wilson tennis racquets and pickleball paddles for demo, and they are full service with stringing.

How many courts are there?
  • The racquet facility offers 18 tennis courts and 8 pickle ball courts. 
​

What is the average weather in Desert Springs?
What if it rains or we experience inclement weather throughout our trip? 
  • If rain or weather affects any of the scheduled tennis, the Director of Tennis will do their best to reschedule while you are there. If they are unable to do so, we will issue a refund for any missed tennis.
